they look very good - I heard the LT version of that tire is super loud on the highway - is that true, kinda true, or bullshit
  2. 33's (285/70/17 tires) with 703 Method wheels (+35 offset) on factory suspension 2024 Tacoma TRD Off-Road

Looks great. Are those Toyos LT or SL? Tire size also 285/70/r17?
  3. National Trailhunter Club - Any interest?

Hello Folks, I’m looking to start a national Trailhunter club for purposes of organizing and hosting events on at least an annual basis (those events being open to EVERYONE). My intention, if there is interest, would be to legally organize a club as a 501(c)(7) entity. This would allow us to...
  4. Twelve A/T Tires Tested On the Road - Review by Tire Rack

TireRack is all I use. But they failed me on the Firestone XT review which I did not agree with. But yeah they are great. I’m getting some 20-22 pounds wheels (shaving off 11-13 pounds!) then wrapping those with 285/70/17 or 285/75/17 tires. Those will also be lighter than my tires. And...
  5. Twelve A/T Tires Tested On the Road - Review by Tire Rack

Oh I’ve seen it my friend. I’m getting some light 17” wheels and breaking free of E load tires. I’ve heard the Tire rack dude’s voice on all those test videos over the years and seeing him was a trip.
  6. Back In Black

I absolutely love my TH. You will too.
  7. 30mm offset (17x7.5 + 285/70) - how much poke?

Ah yes, supertech1. Been chatting with him. There are still variations from model to model and I just want to see it in writing on the site. I’ll just wait.
  8. 30mm offset (17x7.5 + 285/70) - how much poke?

How did you get a confirmed weight? RRW said they can’t tell me any of the weights until February.
  9. 30mm offset (17x7.5 + 285/70) - how much poke?

Oh interesting. Have you posted pics of them? I’m still waiting for RRW to post their wheel weights. If they never do, I’ll just buy some black rhinos or SCS that weigh more. I’m not purchasing wheels in the dark without a confirmed weight.
  10. 30mm offset (17x7.5 + 285/70) - how much poke?

Anyone try SCS wheels on their fourth gen? They’ve got some +20mm options like the “blaze 10” which weighs are really low 22lb
  11. HVAC whistling sound

I’ve let it go. It doesn’t do it on cooling, only heating. Since I live in Texas I’m only using heating 25% of the year so it’s fine.
  12. The last great 4 banger

Did you get a chance to weigh the RRW wheels? I am not able to get RRW to give me weights and they aren’t on their site. Thanks!

    Welcome dude!
  14. Wheel size ?

    PRO/TH is 18x8.5 with +20 offset and 265/70/18 tires.
  15. Caster Angle - What is Spec?

Hi Folks, My caster angle on my Trailhunter from left to right is slightly off (by a tiny amount) because my tire is closer to rubbing at full lock on the driver side than the passenger side with my slightly larger than OEM tires (33.4” versus 32.6”). This makes me think caster is slightly...
  16. CarPlay is the worst in the 4th Gen

Zero issues except occasionally it doesn’t want to connect but when I start truck again it does. Happens rarely. About 7K miles.
  17. Trailhunter max tire size

I assume the impact to torque / acceleration with a 34” tire isn’t too bad? Or highway cruising?
  18. Trailhunter max tire size

That’s pretty fucking helpful. I am also super close on 33.43” tires—which is why I’m hesitating — BUT, I think Falkens “run big” and Toyos might run a tiny bit small, so they could be very close to the same size. I’ll take some pictures today of how close mine get. Dumb question - which...
