  1. 4g Remote Start is HORRIBLE!

It's very annoying to use the remote and you have to time it just right. The lights have to flash between each press. I get it right maybe 1/3rd of the time so default to the app most of the time. They should have just made it like most other cars with a dedicated button or click once to lock...
  2. Stock Recovery Hooks Painted

Mine is a TRD Offroad so I have 2 hooks like the video. Do you have an SR5 or sport? I think that's why you have the two different hooks.
  3. Rough Country Hidden Winch Installed on TRD Pro. No Cutting Necessary!

Well done! I was looking at this but also wanted to keep the TRD skid. Sounds like this is a decent solution. RC should offer this as a version for those who want to use other skids that use the factory cross member. I’m also wondering if RC prefers to use their specific skid because it ties in...
  4. ARB rear recovery hooks

Google the PN and order from one of the OEM parts suppliers. I paid $285 (before tax/shipping). PT989-35245-03
  5. 2025 Tacoma Prices Released. Price Cuts on TRD Pro and Trailhunter

I was hoping to see this as well. They’re probably worried about that config eating away at TH sales.
  6. Anyone running 89 or 91 octane?

Stillen reporting 20HP difference between 87 vs 91 octane.
  7. Rough Country Skid Plate and Wheel Well Liners installed on 2024 Tacoma SR5

I was going off the instructions where they state to take them off and then the final image shows them not back on so I made that assumption. Maybe I’ll order them and try it.
  8. Rough Country Skid Plate and Wheel Well Liners installed on 2024 Tacoma SR5

Kind of a bummer that you cannot run OEM flares with those fender liners..
  9. Slippery bed on Tacoma

Lasfit (& amazon clones) are not nearly as slippery as no mat but probably not as sticky OEM. I like the amazon one I have as it is seemingly middle of the road in friction & on the lower end of cost, but great fitment.
  10. Rock Sliders for Long Bed 4th Gen Tacoma

I ended up going with CBI "overland" long bed sliders with kick out. Ordered Sept 19th; arrived Nov 20th (9 weeks). The work on the sliders is beautiful. I cant wait to get them installed. Will upload once that happens. Unfortunately I wont be able to get them installed for a while since an...
  11. Any reason not to use the factory speaker connector?

Make your own pig tail to connect into the factory connector? That way no cutting and easily reversible (no splicing; although splicing isn't difficult).
  12. Carista update news

This isn't what you're asking for but you can set it to unlock all doors when grabbing the handle in the infotainment screen. Not quite the same solution but way less of a pain when you frequently travel with more than yourself.
  13. Prorunner Front Tow hooks

Anyone have the scoop on the tow hooks/recovery points shown on the prorunner? I am hoping they add this to the 2025 catalogue I’d like to get these to complement the ARB rear ones.
  14. West Coast Road Trip Report in '2024 Tacoma Off-Road Long Bed

I have the same spec minus all the goodies. This really makes me really want to get out there. Any issues with the long wheelbase on the trails?
  15. Adding Trailhunter Skid Plates to 6 foot bed TRD Offroad

Please let us know if the TRD Pro and Trailhunter mid skid match up and/or have any interference.
  16. Is my transmission supposed to sound like a diesel tractor?

Sounds like nothing out of the ordinary based on my 6 months/10k miles with mine.
  17. 2025 4Runner TRD Convertible Surf Concept Unveiled

I want that TRD panhard bar... Nothing more than straight bling
  18. 2024 Tacoma Auto Trans in manual mode

As others have mentioned, it says 3 but starts in 1. It'll shift up to 3 on its own and then stay there. You can also shift down to 2 & 1 if you're at a stop to have them stay in those lower gears.
  19. New wheels & tires on my 2024 Tacoma Limited iForceMax -- Falken Wildpeak AT4/W Tires + 20" Fuel Blitz Wheels

Can you feel the added weight of the AT4W's when driving and how about your MPG's? Thanks.
