  1. 2024 Tacoma Deposits | Reservations | Waitlist Sheet & Stats - Tacoma4G

Haha yes sir. I moved out here in 2011. My wife went to high school in some small towns near Stockton lake, met after high school and she was moving here for college so I followed her. I still go back to see my dad and friends. Also, I’ll be attending Moore Expo here in a few months to get to...
  2. When will full line be available?

April. They Hybrid will not be cost effective. Its not built for efficiency, its build for power. So if the massive power difference doesn't matter to you, then don't buy the hybrid.
  3. TRD Pro 2024 Tacoma (Terra) from San Diego Auto Show

For someone like myself who regularly has branches scratching the side of my truck, but also lives in the brutal Colorado dry air and intense sunshine, how would this stuff hold up. And does it leave an impossible to remove residue like a typical wrap would?
  4. TRD Pro 2024 Tacoma (Terra) from San Diego Auto Show

The thing about PPF, is its the cost of a paint job. I got quotes from a few places in Missouri (services like this are cheaper down there) and it was going to be around 7k for the whole vehicle. Id rather just pay for paint when the day comes to sell it.
  5. Removable JBL speaker notification

Yeah I was under that impression as well. That would a very handy place to utilize more power on the dash for GoPros, Audio/etc
  6. 2024 Tacoma Lift Kits

Dobinson told me last year that once the truck releases, it will be 6 months at least before lifts come out. They can design them ahead of time with truck scans and provided info, but they have to test the kits out and dial things in. The OEM kits will be your only option for quite some time...
  7. Will the hybrid Tacoma be without the alternator, and only a starter for backup?

Right, I keep forgetting about that. My brain doesn't compute ? One thing I am very curious about with this system, is how does it handle high amperage loads like winching? A winch can demand 400-500 amps from a battery. I am sure the system technically could supply that kind of power to its...
  8. Will the hybrid Tacoma be without the alternator, and only a starter for backup?

Thats interesting, I wonder what that number is/what it equates to as far as mileage or age. I would imagine by the time that rolls around, people will find work arounds or after market parts would be available. It will be interesting to see when the day comes. I am all in on the hybrid, its...
  9. Will the hybrid Tacoma be without the alternator, and only a starter for backup?

I asked about this stuff heavily at the Overland Expos I attended this year, unfortunately I knew more about the trucks than they did, and it wasn’t just because they were hiding info. Several of these guys weren’t enthusiasts. here’s what I’ve collected since then. Yes, it starts off the...
  10. Fox Shock Rebuild required on 2024 TRD Pro

Haha, if that's not sarcasm, then thank you I really appreciate it! I was very happy to let the cat out of the bag on the new build. I am SO looking forward to the Trailhunter!
  11. Fox Shock Rebuild required on 2024 TRD Pro

Yes, for a full racing Fox system this is true. But this isn't a off the shelf Fox racing shock. These are specially built to be OEM and fall within certain parameters. I highly doubt your OEM shocks will need 10k intervals. They will perform very well, and for most users will be plenty. But I...
  12. 2024 Tacoma Offroad my dealer has coming in next week

Pro and TH will probably be in the 62-65 range. I would be stunned if they are 60 or below. Everyone is astonished by the prices, meanwhile the Rubicon Gladiator has been that price for years.
  13. 2024 Tacoma Deposits | Reservations | Waitlist Sheet & Stats - Tacoma4G

I'm friends with their finance guy Adil. I bought my Fj Cruiser at Reliable before moving to Colorado.
  14. Payload, GVWR, GAWR Figures for 2024 Tacoma (published in owners manual)

So this is pretty interesting from what someone pulled up from the new manual than was released. If this is the case, you can tack on 750 lbs and subtract driver/passenger weight from there. Kind of confusing how its worded though.
  15. New C&D review: 2024 Tacoma is better than 2023 Tacoma ("Our Tests Prove It")

I know ARB offers fuel tanks in Australia, I’ve been curious if Toyota wouldn’t do something like that, though it would be expensive. It would be really cool if they just gave the TH a larger tank at least.
  16. Oil change recommended every 10,000 miles officially (5,000 miles if driving on dirt / dusty roads)

Most vehicles are this way these days. Toyota as well as other manufacturers run the hell out of these things on the dyno and have switched to 10k changes because they have crazy amounts of data to pull from. I tend to follow with what they suggest. I have seen articles over the years that...
  17. Payload, GVWR, GAWR Figures for 2024 Tacoma (published in owners manual)

Top spec payload is likely to be the Trailhunter. It has a suspension specific for load carrying, as the Pro will have softer valving and will most likely have less. TRD Off-Road hybrids could very well have more than the non hybrids, but less than TH. They want to move people into upper trims I...
  18. ARB 2024 Tacoma Trailhunter Build on 35's in Underground Color (updated with videos)

Interesting how much misguided info Toyota reps shared during this trucks roll out this year. Some I spoke with at expo events would say one thing, and the next guy would contradict previous information. Good to see some things are finally published though. Thanks for posting it. EDIT: This...
  19. 2024 Tacoma chief engineer reveals secrets/surprises of TRD Pro & All Tacomas!

Unless that hybrid battery is truly a sealed system, I would suspect someone is going to find a way to make that battery run at least a 12v fridge.
