A good point. I’ve never rolled in a parade with my Tacoma (yet), but I’ve not had A/C trouble in 25*C weather just idling, waiting for my wife for around 1/2hr. But I was in “Standard” driving mode. Having the truck in “Eco” makes sense that the BCM would slow down the A/C for MPGs.

Maybe @afuiw should ask @Dongar for a cut on pro adapters for VIOFO cameras. :crackup::cwl:

I’m searching marketplace for winter wheels (yes, I know, sad in the summer), and came across these. I’m not sure if they fit, I’ve seen some Tundra wheels mentioned on some forums, but I don’t know what to look for. They’re 18” and fit a ‘21 and up Tundra.

That is the very cable. That and my USB A-C adapter has kicked on parking mode for me.

Huh, I don’t know. I know my cord was under all the accessories that came with the box, and I just decided to pull everything from the box before I cut up my Dongar harness. I tried the long one you’re talking about and it didn’t work for me, YMMV.

You need to make sure it’s the right VIOFO cord. There’s the 10ft one, and a shorter 2-3ft one. I used the short one, with the adapter, and ziptied and tucked the excess in the headliner.

Mine is old, like 5-6 years or more. It was an old A-C adapter I got with an iPhone 8, to transfer data from my android phone to the iPhone. It must be data, but I think the 3ft VIOFO cord is the real answer.

Okay, to anyone reading this thread, my apologies. I misread what @afuiw said in this post. Let me explain, I tried the method of using a type A-C adapter on the 10-ft charge cable. That DIDN’T work. I tried same 10-ft cable with a USB-C wall adapter, no joy. I was about to modify the Dongar...

Sorry, tried before being out all day. Then I forgot to reply. No, no it did not kick into parking mode. I ordered the HK4 hardwire kit. I’m going to temporarily modify the 5-pin harness to try its functionality. We will see, hopefully I have time tomorrow.:wait:

One would turn off ANC if they upgrade the stereo. Because putting the ANC signal through an amplifier would blow out the speakers connected to the amp.

To me, the truck sounds like a ‘90s Honda Civic with the old “fart cannon” muffler and no resonator with ESE on.

Ahh, I see. That thread you linked is very helpful. Must be the ACC sensing not working somehow. I never considered a hardwire kit, very neat idea. Thanks. **sits and thinks about options now.**

I don’t remember if it was here or another Tacoma forum, but it was mentioned about plugs in the bottom of the door in the drain holes. Maybe check there. Black rubber plugs.

Another question. I purchased my Dongar adapter before I even got my truck. I recently had the opportunity to install my dash cam, along with the Dongar adapter. I have the adapter set to "T" which is my understanding to be "timed mode". I also have my dash cam, the VIOFO a229 pro, set to...

To follow up the follow up, Still have the sound, a rumbling/rattly sound. Anyways, it’s been hot here, and to help out the A/C, I opened the rear window. The noise was GONE! Turns out it’s the “ANC/fake engine noise”. Carista to the rescue!

Installed a front/rear VIOFO a229 pro dashcam. Used the Dongar pro for power and ran the rear camera wire around the a-pillar airbag, zip-tied out of the way.
