I donāt have my truck yet and Iām already planning to gut the JBL system. I have my Morel Tempo Ultra 692s removed from my old truck, and Iām planning on some Morel CCRW254 mids to add to them for a 3-way setup.
My question is, ā has anyone removed the tweeters from a JBL system? And do you...
Correct. My apologies. I was assuming that we were grabbing the signal where āIā would mount the Key amp, by the JBL amp, not in the dash. It does depend on where you want to grab signal from for sure.
Personally, Iām doing a PAC AmpPro AP4-TY14 to, well, I havenāt decided yet. Grab a flat...
That is correct. The front doorsā are mid-bass speakers playing, Iām guessing here, from 80-1k Hz. The corner dash speakers play from 1k to about 4K and the A-pillar tweeters play the rest.
Thats normal for a 3-way setup to sound as you described, itās fine.
The Kicker Key amp likely wonāt...
Wet pavement is above average, but not fantastic. Itās pretty easy to spin the wheels when taking off from a stop. Once youāre rolling though, grip is really good, thanks to the siping.
I like them a lot. Had the āDiscoverer 4Sā (the predecessor) before, and these are updated a bit. They are quieter, but you still get A/T lug hum at speed, nothing horrible. Rain and snow show the true uses for these. Grip is fantastic in snow/ice. So much so that I stopped swapping...
Itās because you most likely tapped the IGN fuse. The truck, usually every 4 hours, powers the fuel pump through that fuse for emissions regulations, to eliminate pollutants from escaping the gas tank.
To eliminate the problem, youāll have to find a fuse of significant power (ie. 10A or more)...
Looking very sharp, liking the lift.
If you donāt mind me asking, where did you get the āheritageā grill insert/decals. Love the look.
One more thing, you need āMcFlyā lights on the sport bar. :like:
Interesting about the broker. Not sure where to find them in Canada, sounds like another research project. :) I thought I finished school 30 years ago! :D
Greetings.
Ive been reading about the 4th gen ever since my 2nd gen started giving me issues. Set up a test drive on Oct 21/24. Drove a fairly loaded SR5 for about 30 min on familiar roads for my evaluation. Got back to the dealer, and with some talking, ordered a Supersonic red Sport...
If you have the JBL system, and it sounds like you do, youāll have an external amp. Iām the 2nd and 3rd gens it was under the passenger seat. Not sure with the 4th, having power/ventilated seats. Could be near the sub in the back, even integrated on the back of the enclosure.
Iāve heard the app is quite the ordeal to use. I have an iPhone, so Iām planning to get a ālightning to sd cardā adapter. I have a few sd to micro so adapters around, and try that.
Have you checked if the sound coming out of the system is indeed coming from the system, not just the dash speaker? Play something and put your ear to the door speakers, see if ANYTHING is coming out. Also, as a thought, find the amp for the stereo, and check to see the plug is seated...
Swapping speakers wonāt do anything, may even make things worse. Speakers just do what theyāre told by the amp, nothing more. There has to be a setting somewhere that is turning the gain down.
i think what you need to do is delete the truck from your phoneand phone from your truck. Restart...
