Yes, you are correct. You can remove the plug with the single black wire as it is not needed for your setup. That single black wire threw me off when I was wiring mine up too.

As long as it's Full Synthetic, ILSAC GF-6A and 0W-20 you should be good to go. Changing the oil and filter every 5,000 miles is another level of insurance against engine problems.

Just like the title says, I can't seem to find or locate if you can adjust the mileage interval for the oil change or service intervals in the dash. It's set at 10,000 miles and I would like to adjust it down to 5,000. Any insight will be appreciated.
