All I will say is a Toyota tech told me if you remove the grille you need to disconnect the battery first, before unplugging the grille plugs. Otherwise, your run the risk of loosing the sonar sensor and it will need to be reprogrammed.
And before you say it ... this isn't something I heard...
A follow-up. I took the truck to Toyota to get the codes cleared and the sensors recalibrated. Long story short they had the truck all day on Tuesday, and didn't resolve the issue. I took the truck back today. Total, the dealer's lead tech worked on the truck for at least 8 hours. He finally...
I have 285/70-17 Wildpeaks on my TRD-OR. Mounted to the factory rims. I had a 1/2" lift spacer in the front, and Dobinson 819V's in the rear with my camper. The truck sat at about factory height in the rear. You folks must not wheel your junk. I had some rubbing in the front on stuff with the...
I had somebody do that to me in a parking lot with my 1985 4R. I think they had aspirations, and was hoping something from my truck would rub off on theirs.
After two adventures in the Tacoma when it was stock I found it lacking. That was after I installed 33" tires. The truck is too low, and too wide. I've since added some lift to help, but I would never consider taking the Tacoma to Canyonlands. That is what I have my 4Runner for.
I just had my truck aligned at the dealer after doing a lift. They had the 2024 specs, but not the 2025. You would think the numbers would be the same, but they are not. They had to track down the 2025 specs and enter them in.

I have them and use them. I frequently see them on sale.
I just took my 2025 TRD-OR to the dealer for an alignment after doing a lift. The service writer said they had an issue because the alignment specs between 2024 and 2025 were different. Ya, no kidding. They didn't have the 2025 specs and had to track them down.
