Wow. The ingenuity of people never ceases to amaze me. Very well done!
I have the CBI Super Stock Covert on order and when I asked their support team if I could reach the free spool lever the response was, "no problem, just reach down from the top". To which my response was, "yeah, that's...
Good job, the video is great. I'll be interested to see how you access the spool lever.
It's obviously a much more expensive product but one thing I like about RCI's Pike bumper is that it comes with a support bracket that replaces the stock piece and gives you clearance to turn the handle...
Dobinsons makes a couple different springs for the front, the C59-820 and C59-822. Both claim about 2" of lift with the difference between the two being the load. The C59-820 is rated for stock and the C59-822 is rated for 110-150lbs.
I currently have the Westcott spacer on the front but...
By "floor" do you mean the ground? That's pretty variable depending on all sorts of factors but the highest point on my truck at the moment (not including anything mounted to the roof) is 86 1/4 inches. All sorts of things are higher than that though. The solar ports are ~1 3/4", the roof...
I'm pretty sure this is exactly what I have. The odd thing is finding this part number for sale isn't straightforward, for example it seems Amazon carries the lug nuts, but only in a 5 lug set (20 total), not the 6 lug set.
I purchased and had the wheels and tires installed at Discount Tire. We just reused the stock TPMS sensors (I separated the stock wheels from the tires for resale). Discount Tires had the lug nuts in stock so that's what we used. I think they charged me ~$60 for them.
At the risk of sounding like I'm sponsored (I'm not), I bought the full set of the TripleA interior mats in mid-June and have over 12k on my truck now, including a 4,600 mile trip in October, so I've got a fair number of miles on the mats (probably 8 or 9,000 miles).
Take it for what it's...
Not familiar with Noco either, I have the basic Thor's Lightning compressor and love it. If you look around there are three or four companies selling effectively the same unit, just rebranded. They do work well though. I can inflate all four tires from 20 to 32 lbs in 2 1/2 minutes, which is...
Looks like there's a hole for the fairlead down at the bottom but I agree, it looks like a huge impact to the approach angle. That said, it does look pretty robust. I'll stick with my CBI Covert bumper I have on order though.
Interesting. The most compelling aspect over other options seems to be the ability to take the tent portion off but they don't really go over that on their site and just doing a quick search I couldn't find any videos showing how that works.
I'm more than satisfied with my Lone Peak but it...
They were limited. The trucks with the iForce engine were released first, then the Trail Hunter and TRD Pro, and then the rest of the line up with the iForce Max (hybrid) configuration. I don't know the exact date they started shipping vehicles w/the iForce Max but it wasn't until later in the...
To answer the first question, he's talking about bed stiffeners. There are lots of options and it's up to you to decide which is best for you but here's an example. Another, less expensive option...
The second question I can't answer but for sure you would have to upgrade the rear suspension...
Thanks for posting. I currently have a Westcott spacer on the front but I ordered a bumper today, CBI Super Stock Covert, which was the most minimalist bumper I could find that would fit a winch. I picked up a Harbor Freight Badlands 12k winch last week for a great price.
It will be a couple...
Tough call! It sounds like you really don't want to lift the front and normally don't carry that much weight, in which case you may be best served with the 817's and then you could install Timbren SES bump stops for when you're carrying weight. Or....think about air bags for short term use but...
I actually did that somewhere a couple of weeks ago and the scale read 680. The scale I was on seemed really old and unused so I wasn't sure if it was actually in operation or not and if that meant the weight was 6,800 lbs? That didn't make sense to me to only have the three numbers (and it...
