Rough Country's option seems to be the most cost effective at the moment but I don't like how you have to cut the front crossmember on models that have it (my OR for example).
That being the case the next cheapest option I've found is one from DV8. This might end up being what I go with. It...
That wasn't really an issue. I just used my normal jack stands. I had two pump jacks, one under each side of the axle and once you take the wheels off and get enough brake lines and whatnot free, you can actually drop the axle quite a ways.
Looks like you're in the Seattle area. I live in...
Nice. They didn't mention this page to me and I could only find the page for the LC300. It's probably for the best though because based on this I would probably have ordered the C59-821V instead of the 819V, but I think the 819V is a good fit. Just based on my limited driving so far I don't...
Sounds like we have similar goals. I don't intend on doing much rock crawling either. It's mainly for forest service roads, many of which are in bad shape here in the PNW.
Timbren was a bit confusing to me. They have three kits for the Tacoma, ABSTORTNDR which are geared toward...
They're not sliders and I wouldn't use them as such. I have the Go Rhino Dominator Xtreme D6 side steps. They're plenty strong for standing on but they wouldn't even remotely hold the weight of the truck. I really like them though. They go to the rear of the cab and even though they're a...
For reference I have a '24 Taco OR LB with a Lone Peak wedge camper, fully built out w/drawers. I've not been able to weigh the truck since completing the build but I estimate I'm right at ~1,000 lbs, all in. One of the first things I did when buying the truck was to install the Westcott...
On the left side of the steering wheel navigate to one of the three dash screens and then hold the 'ok' button down to adjust the settings. Navigate to the right side and then scroll down until you get to the tire pressure screen.
It's a well documented bug that the tire pressure screen will...
Yup, Bud was the first LP install and he gave me some good tips. Mine was the first install on the '24 Tacoma and really the tail gate is the only lingering thing to resolve.
Here's a link to a bunch of photos, both of the truck and my drawer system I built. The spare tire photos are test fit...
Nice truck and I like what you have planned. I've had my Lone Peak for a couple of months now and pretty much have it built out the way I want it with the exception of maybe some awning lights. A couple of things.
Assuming the spare space is the same on the Trailhunter as it is on my OR, I...
What model did you install?
There are three different models that fit the Taco; TORSEQ3, which seems to be designed for general use, TORTTNDR for severe and/or heavy loads, and ABSTORNDR for off-road.
I tried communicating with their customer support but after four or five exchanges I gave...
Any tempered glass can shatter if the conditions are right. The sliding glass door in our house spontaneously shattered many years ago and the handyman that came out to fix it said it really wasn't that uncommon. He said that potentially the edge was rubbing on something hard and over time the...
I prefer the left (02), just because I think the contrast between the two colors stands out better.
Also, I know the page is just a mock up but please check the spelling of words prior to publishing anything. It's amazing to me how many professionally published news articles and websites...
My truck before the '24 Taco was a '16 Canyon SLT and I loved it. Not a single issue in 80k miles. The only reason I didn't buy a new Canyon was because GM won't make one in a six foot bed. That made the Taco not only the easy choice, but it was the only choice. Bring back the six foot and...
Slightly off topic but what window deflectors are those? I've been waiting for someone to make the ones that fit in the channels. I see both Weathertech and AVS finally have them and I've always liked AVS for the money but am open to other options as well.
I can echo this. Very happy with my TripleAliners floor mats. I never even realized 3D printed mats were a thing until I started looking for mats for the Tacoma but now I can't imagine buying any other type for future vehicles.
Same situation with the Off Road. I would still have replaced the stock bulbs just to get rid of the only halogen bulb on the truck but wouldn't have bothered spending the extra cash for the switchback bulb.
There are multiple ebay vendors selling these between $75 - $100, shipping directly from China. It's tempting to give them a shot but who knows the quality...
