My commitment to myself is to work on the write up tomorrow. Hiking today!
The license plate cover is this product off Amazon. It should fit any winch opening with 10" spacing. I like it. The only thing was that the little bolts were a bit short and weren't quite catching the nylock nuts...
As mentioned above the CBI Covert seems like it's a close match for what you're looking for and you can get it with a bull bar. I just installed the Covert Super Sport on my truck (Off Road). It's even more minimalist (no bull bar option and it sits lower). That said, I have thoughts so you...
I would never just install a larger fuse in any scenario. If you need more power than the circuit is rated for then always use a relay. They're cheap and effective and you won't risk frying anything.
I'm also interested in what happens when you remove the active shutters. As I understand it they're not for aero purposes as much as they are for cooling. I read somewhere the engine doesn't even have a thermostat and the active shutters provide the coolant temperature modification. If so...
Good question. It's just a dual terminal fuse block. I think maybe I got it at Autozone? One side is a 125 amp fuse and the other side 250 amp. That's from memory, I could be wrong. You can replace the fuses w/whatever size you want though. I can't find the exact product but it's...
I know you want something fancier than my solution but I'm perfectly happy with just mounting the fuse block to the top of the fuse box cover next to the battery. Plenty of clearance and I left enough room to still be able to fold the lid back when necessary to get at the underlying fuses.
First, thank you for the kind words.
We always want what we don't have! :cwl: I actually would have probably preferred the 25mm offset if it had been an option in the wheel I chose, mainly because that would have made the tires perfectly flush with the side steps. TBH though I think either is...
Yes, the tap on the turn signal is for the turn signal part of the fang lights. The way I have the fang lights wired, the "DRL" is on anytime I turn the switch on on my switch block. I'm not certain the middle wire on the turn signal would be the DRL but I would expect it has to be one or the...
Check this thread out. I share my experience so far with them in that thread but in a nutshell I sent a text well over a week ago now and have never had a response from that. I then called customer service, talked to a nice young lady who had no answers for me and who promised to talk to...
If you like the wheels but just don't want chrome, I found that plasti dip actually looks good and can last a long time if you take your time and follow the instructions. I did it on the chrome wheels on my Canyon and expected to have to replace it every year or so but it lasted four or five...
Did your bumper come with the relocation kit? If you look at the install video starting ~19:00 he shows it. I can see how the relocation could cause its own problems if the solenoid itself sits too far out and hits the grill shutters.
I just posted this on another thread and figured I'd copy and paste here....
I'll be doing a full write up on my CBI Super Sport Covert bumper once I get it installed. It came last Thursday (ordered 11/22/24). This goes on an Off Road. I have no problem installing it myself but was a little...
I'll be doing a full write up on my CBI Super Sport Covert bumper once I get it installed. It came last Thursday (ordered 11/22/24). This goes on an Off Road. I have no problem installing it myself but was a little perturbed that there was no packing list or documentation whatsoever in the...
I'll speak up in defence of these. They're nicely molded rubber and aren't going to fall out on their own. I would freely admit they're only for aesthetic purposes but the open frame in the back has been one of my visual points of irritation ever since getting the truck. The plugs clean the...
