Same here. Did close to 2K a few weeks ago going back and forth to Maine. Plus the time I spent in the North Woods driving back roads and offroading looking for Moose. It's in the back of your mind, but I'm not going to alter my driving in any way. 11K on mine, shifts like butter. If it...
There is a way. It's in the screens. It's called ACC Customize I think. You have to turn it off, or maybe on... I can't remember but do the opposite of what it is. Mine stays on now.
Love mine too. I got the NY top version because the OEM wasn’t available back then. If I hadn’t done that, I would’ve already crushed my exhaust at least three or four times.
Yeah, I saw those and thought they looked better. Also cheaper. I haven't hooked in the signal lights yet. Not entirely sold on that, but will probably do it in the next few days. I can always unhook them again I suppose.
I'm coming up on 11k and do not have any rust under my hood. I have been offroad, splashed mud, etc... and everything's fine. Take it back, though I'm not sure they'll do anything about it. Probably a poorly painted part.
Hello everyone. Finally got my Trailhunter grill in from Toyota. Took about six weeks to get everything. I printed the camera bracket posted here and ordered the light bar brackets from TacoGarage. A little unnerving, but in the end worth it. For now I wired the DRL lights using a fuse tap...
This is definitely a bug and I believe has to do with the 4 pin plug. So, this is what I do. I back up the trailer, unhook, and remove the ball. Then I drive away far enough for the camera to no longer see the trailer. Back up to the trailer (don't reconnec) , turn off the car, turn it on...
It’s not really apparent, but that entire piece, including the spoiler comes off. That part is sealed I believe there is a gasket around the light as well. I found this out when I relocated my camera to my cap. Even if water got in there, it couldn’t get into your truck.
I just crossed 10K miles so I'm hoping no issues. No hard shifts yet. It does make you nervous. I was wondering around logging roads in the North Woods of Maine looking for Moose and it was in the back of my mind. I would've been in serious trouble if it had died out there.
Just got my OEM Trailhunter grill from Toyota. $259.00. No light bar, of course. I did get the Heretic light bar which was $500, but you can get cheaper from others. I didn't want the marker lights. If I had seen this before, I may have gone this way.
Just cleared 10k with mine and still no issues. Fingers crossed I got luck and got no casting debris. I am in the affected range. I messaged my Service Manager (a friend) and he said they're just learning about this and hadn't had any come in bad yet. First sign of trouble and mine's going...
Might be a mistake. If anything I can see Terra being available across the line for 25. I believe it's been the same in the past with the Pro colors. Wasn't Solar Octane the 23 TRD Pro color? I know Solar Octane was cancelled for 25
Sure, I can do that. I'm working on my new site now. I'm heading for Maine next week to find and photograph Moose. I'm not sure how heavy the off-roading will be, but at the same time I did't thihk I'd find anything in PA.
Thanks. I've shot lots of birds as well. In the past few years I've been chasing mammals. This is one of the reasons I'm building up the truck. As soon as I get some time I have Molle Panels for inside the bed. I've designed some printable brackets for tripods that will rest just inside the...
Storage isn't the best, but then again it's a mid sized truck. I came from a 2.7 F150 and I find the Tacoma engine to be pretty peppy. Make sure you're not in ECO mode. Mine came like that from the factory and I was disappointed until I moved it to normal. Even less so in Sport. My wife's...
My dad would've told me to sit back there and be quiet :). I had a 5'2" woman in the back seat from Ohio to Myrtle beach and she was fine. It's going to depend on how tall each of you are and the kids. Kids have a lot of entertainment now in the car. You could always turn on the wifi in the...
There was a video a while ago from Jace Robinette where he was having issues with transmission heat offroading in 4HI. It never did get dangerously hot.
Later he posted that when he switched to 4LO it didn't have a problem. I do agree that much of this has to do with having a gauge now where...
