I am running Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac RT. I work for Goodyear so not much option there. Fantastic tires. 3 Peak rated and ripped through the trails with no issues. The only thing is with 33's they are 10-Ply. I wish they had lighter ones, but it is what it is.
Hi everyone. I did my first offroading last weekend with my Tacoma. My big hobby is nature photography and as I've been chasing after larger mammals, I'm sometimes finding I need to venture out farther to find them. This is what I built the Tacoma to do.
Last weekend I headed out to...
No. It’s on off for now. When I get caught up I’m going to see if I can simulate open doors with wiring. Haven’t had a situation where I wanted to keep them deployed so it’s not a priority right now
I’m not exactly sure what you mean about vice grips. I do not Have stabilizer disconnect. If you mean the part to remove that retaining ring, I think it’s gonna depend on which model . The video from Westcott shows you taking a wrench and banging that retention ring down the off-road is...
This is what people seem to forget.. massive inflation. Adjusted for inflation, these trucks are almost where the 2019's were. I have an OR Premium that I got back in April for MSRP. I know they're doing discounts now, but I still have no regrets. Most fun I've ever had with a vehicle and it...
I know it will stop you if your door is open. I was in a situation where I needed to move the truck 2 feet and tried to move it with the door open... no go. It slammed on the brakes and made me close the door first. I do from time to time, when driving short distances offroad, leave my...
That was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the Trailhunter came with that Snorkel. Ice. I can see the snorkel getting iced up and causing problems and then trying to chip it off of plastic.
This is all about the turbo. You don't have to floor it, but the more you put your foot into it, the turbo will spool up and it will gulp gas. Most members and youtube comparisons have found that Normal mode gives better mileage as well. I know that's counter-intuitive, but it's the case. I...
I feel like that will be a never ending process for me as well. I've had mixed luck with my open printer with PetG. That's supposed to handle higher heat. I had to crank up my nozzle and bed temperature. Still occasionally have adhesion problems, but no warping so far. I also found that...
With the fun you can have, it's actually reasonably priced. I'm just getting started and I have printed several useful things on my $200 3D Printer. There's a lot to learn. I designed and printed a hole-through mount for my Digital Rear when I relocated it to the back of my cap. Not knowing...
I disagree. I just sourced all the parts. I bought the light bar direct from Heretic for $499. The Trailhunter Grill was $298. The camera bracket is $30.00 from Rave or $25 from TacoGarage. TacoGarage had a post about $25.00 camera brackets from Titanium. If not, I'll print one since I...
You could always just send the step file that’s posted on the forum if you could get the permission of the poster. Then you should be able to send it straight over.
I haven’t really noticed it leaking at all. But then again, if it drifts a little bit, I don’t care. It’s a truck not like I’m putting a bed carpet in there or something. Here’s some pictures with the widoor and the back.
It's the fuel pump priming the system. My last 3 trucks from various manufacturers have done that. It senses the fob and figures you're about to drive. Normal
I make my own DT connectors so that won't be a problem. Appreciate all the help! I'll have to decide if I want to send that out to get printed, or use yours as a template or just cut it out of plate steel. It won't look quite as precise as a laser cut, but it'll be close and nobody is going...
Yeah, I don't think the problem has resolved, or possibly it happened again. They use Aisen for their transmissions and they have a good reputation. Seems like there's been a bunch at relatively low miles which points to some kind of QC failure. I hope I'm out of the woods at 6200 miles, but...
