If your tailgate just slams open there is something wrong IMO. Check out other trucks at your dealership and if they open slowly maybe something is missing from your truck.

Yeah - this normal for Toyota so I never thought about it. That would mess me up when driving my wife's Infiniti though. I remember it as turning it toward me makes it wipe more often and toward the windshield it wipes less often. The bars correspond to how long it is between wipes.

@Baltimore Search Amazon for Novus Plastic Polish. They have a lot of different kits. I just had the two part one and it worked well. I successfully removed scratches from a lot of plastics with that kit.

A friend of mine had this happen too. I think the drain plug is protected in most 4th gens, but if not the convenience of a Fumoto valve is not worth the risk IMO.
