I’m ignorant on how turbo systems are typically cooled (both the compressed air being routed to the engine and the turbo itself). Is this setup typical? Inter cooler plus separate radiator? Pros/ cons to it? Unrelated- is the trans fluid cooled by the engine’s radiator?

Others have reported this. I thought mine was until I realized it was my visor when in the downward position moving slightly and causing a plastic on plastic sound. However if you figure out a good solution please post for future reference

Good points. I’ve also noticed that the engine manages itself. In other words it sometimes does not shut off at a stop, perhaps it just monitors temps and knows when it can and can’t, which is probably how it works.

Yeah I meant non-hybrid - all that makes sense just want to know if the hybrids keep the air fans on and coolant flowing after you power off the engine— probably not

Makes tons of sense but is it true that the manual only says to “idle” in the [non-hybrid]? I’m traveling but will check my own manual upon return.

So far nobody has answered my question about the hybrid always turning off the motor when I come to a stop — how would I be able to cool down the turbo oil / drain it out if it never really “idles?”.. also does it have a turbo timer or not?
