Has anyone seen any pics of a 4th gen, with aftermarket wheels that don't have 50% of the tire hanging outside of the fender? I'm currently wheel shopping and have no idea what to buy.
This is a 285/75/17 but it's not my truck. The owner on FB said they do not rub, but you'd be taking his word for it.
Personally, I think 285/75's look too big for the wheel well of a stock height 4th gen. Hell, even my 285/70's are pushing it IMO.
Hopefully you won't mind me asking this, but why buy the Sport model and set it up like an off road truck, when it doesn't have a rear locker, crawl control, downhill assist, etc. like the Off Road model has?
Thanks! yes the tires are quiet, I've not heard any increase in tire noise compared to the stockers. They do feel like they weigh slightly more though via the way they translate to the steering wheel.
It is very much brown in person IMO, there's a Terra 4 Runner on display out in front of my local dealership. But, like some other Toyota colors, it looks different in photographs.
I really like the bed liner as well, the trucks that ship without them have the glossy plastic look that we saw in the preproduction truck videos, though they have nice rubber mats it seems.
The side steps, even though I didn't choose them, were mandatory for me anyway, because I broke my leg...
