Just got a new long bed and I’m looking to do a build. I will be doing road trips and working out of my truck while I travel!

does anyone have any recommendations for a shell for my bed?

what other recommendations for building?

So roof tent seems to be necessary if you are going to road trip.

I’d rather sleep in the bed tbh. Not a fan of the roof tent
Well, I'm in the roof tent camp. Granted, to each their own. I now own two roof tents. One on my 4Runner, and the second on the Tacoma. There is no going back to anything else for me. In my case I carry too much junk to sleep in the truck bed.

What rear duel swing rear bumper are you running and did you upgrade the rear springs to a heavier coil?
I would appreciate your help.

The bumper is Victory 4x4. In the rear I'm running Dobinson 821 springs with a 1/2" spacer. If I did it again I would go with the Dobinson 823 springs. The front springs are AllDog.

I have king all the way around with Dobson 821, now and 823s on order, due to the rooftop tent, 500amp solar panel will a 3000w solar battery. With the 821 and the back end loaded, it's a little spongy for me. That's why i'm going to the 823's especially thinking about a dual rear swing, how do you like that bumper? It looks awful large and lower to the ground compared to the stock?
I love my hybrid backwoods front bumper, with the Warren 12K winch. But now I'm half an upspring, the front King c
oilovers from 500 pound coils to 650 pound coils. To lift it back up and restore the performance.
I'm really waiting for a dual swing. That wraps around to the Fender.
Nice, rig.

I really like the bumper. I hate having the spare tire under the bed and this is the third truck I've owned where I mounted the tire on the bumper. It's a very heavy bumper with the swing-outs, 20L gas, and the tire. The weight added up with the camper, the 200AH batteries, 380W solar, 13 gallon water tank, and all the junk I carry for a long trip. If they ever come out with an auxiliary fuel tank I will need to upgrade to the 823 springs, if not the 825.
