I'd go after market for this. OEM is overpriced at the dealer and much lower quality compared to Cobb, Sxth, and others.
Can confirm: sold my Cobb because I didn't like the sound, ordered OEM during a sale as a backup incase I smash my tailpipe, OEM is waaaaaay crappier. Light material, bad finish, even the flange was bent.

I have to agree with going after market on the skid plates. I was going to do one of the OEM plates because of the 25% off deal until I realized that you will STILL have to drop the whole thing every time you want to change your oil and filter.
I'm looking at different after market ones that have access holes for the filter and oil port and I see are lower price.

OP, look at something different to spend your extra money IMHO.

I was only talking aftermarket for the axle dump.

It's always a good idea to drop your skid to inspect for leaks (like the rear main seal) when you're doing an oil change. The OEM skids make it easy to do that. I can drop the skid in less than a minute or two. They are designed to be easily removed and mounted alone. + Alot of the filter and drain access points are positioned in a way that you'll likely make a mess without extra accessories and steps.
Just my opinion though!

6 bolts to drop this (less than 20lbs) v.s. 8 bolts to remove your access points and F around with your fumoto valve and drain setup.

Great points on dropping the entire plate vs access point. I was leaning toward an access port but maybe taking the entire plate off is not a bad idea.
I may see how much they are willing to take off an extended warranty. If they will drop the price and use the $800 on that it may make more sense. It’s too bad the longest warranty in Canada is 7 years vs 9 in the US. And our prices are higher making it even less attractive.

I have a $800 dealer credit to apply to my incoming 2026 OR Premium. It comes pretty well equipped so I’m not sure what to spend it on. I’m getting a Leer 100XL cap and probably a Decked drawer system so that rules about a bunch of options. Truck will be used for off road fishing trips.
options under consideration are:
Dash Camera - I know it’s over priced but is it any good?
Block heater for Canadian winters however it’s usually parked in a non heated garage that doesn’t get very cold.
Improved skid plate - which one
Any other dealer option worth considering.
Here is a list of assorted Toyota accessories for our trucks. It's not even close to complete and it was made for my use (no cosmetic accessories, mostly). I would suggest going to the autoparts.toyota.com page and look at the accessories available.

That’s a good list. Thank you. Way cheaper in the US. I should have bought a few items in the US when they had their 25% off Black Friday sale. I thought about it. By the time you add in the taxes the Leer 100XL with sliding window and fob is pushing $6k in Canada

Remember you can always get better prices online rather than ordering at the parts desk. You may be able to order on line and delivered to dealer to use your dealer credit, not sure.

If I remember correctly, you don't need to remove all six bolts. Only two. The other 4 stay in place and the holes on the skid are notched to make install eaiser.

Reverse that and you'd be correct.

edit - at least on a '24 TRD OR

You are correct. My TRD skid has two notched holes. So 4 bolts need to be removed, but 2 stay behind.
