Hello everyone,

I have a TRD Sport and picked up the ARB OEM bumper for a pretty great price.

I am looking through the manual and it looks rather straight forward. I do see it lists a harness that is required but before I tackle it, if anyone has done the install too, does the previous harness transfer over? I don’t see why it would not but seeing as it does mention a “required harness” in the manual I thought to ask. I would assume that the manual lists the harness number for proper installation at the factory and not after the fact as I would find it strange to require a different harness for a bumper that has the same stuff just made of steel. If that makes any sense… but what do I know lol.

Thanks!

Extra bit. I have heard that the harness is the exact same and the only difference is the attachment points inside the new ARB but that you can just zip tie your current one in the ARB so save some coin rather than spend 100+ to get a harness that matches the inside clip points.

Well I decided to go for it and see what would happen.

Happy to report that the harness transferred over to the ARB and was a complete match. If you salvage the plastic locking pins and carefully remove them, they match up perfectly internally to the ARB. No need to buy another harness. This was for my Sport. Can’t say the same for other trims.
