Does anyone know how to remove the blue screen once your subscription expires seems I can’t get rid of it, don’t know how.

This truck requires you to push buttons all the time to remove messages and warnings.

I just want to get inside and drive and its all laid out for me.

Toyotas are made for stupid people but stupid people don’t buy Toyotas, these cars are a contradiction on wheels.

Well if toyota's are made for stupid people count me in cause my subscription ran out a few months back and I refuse to pay for it. Call me old school if you will. I do have Sirius radio but I would like to use the navigation thingy but when I insert my android in, no maps or nothing but I do get the audio over my speakers when on the phone. Any idea how to make navigation work or do I need Carista or whatever it's called. I ain't given em no more money.

You have to use Android Auto for that. Should come up on your phone to continue using with AA.

That being said, I do wish there was a way to get rid of the Toyota Navigation option on the infotainment menu because I'm not paying to use something I get on my phone for free.

This subject comes up often on this and other forums. Apparently some are put off enough to not buy a Toyota because of it. You would think it would be in their best interest to do something about it. Are you listening Toyota?

I have started a list of things that bother me, and I'll present it to the dealer when I take it for the 10k mile service. I have very low expectations for them being able to do anything, but I'm just optimistic or naive enough to hope that if enough of us complain for long enough, maybe Toyota will change some of these things: OTA updates should be possible for most. Besides the nav and connectivity functions that I will never use, also on my list are Sirius radio, AM radio and Apple Carplay. In my dream world, all of these could be disabled, hidden or deprioritized so that my default daily driving would just show availability of FM or my Android app for music via AA. It would just cycle between those two, and not drag me through AM, Sirius, Apple or Toyota up-sells. If I ever sell the truck, the next owner should be able to reactivate Carplay, Sirius etc. if he chooses. I have a separate rant (and list for the dealer) about the "assisted" driving functions. Maybe I'll post it somewhere else...

once you successfully pair your android, you can go to "apps" on the truck, and futz around with android auto settings. set it to auto launch, and you'll never need to manually launch it. let me go out ot my truck and see if i can grab a screenshot.

EDIT: Here you go:
