We ventured down to the Blue Mountains in southeast Washington this past weekend for a couple nights of cold fall camping. I'm able to work remotely thanks to Starlink. We also fired up the Mariners-Tigers ALDS Game 5 on night two. While I generally enjoy dispersed camping for its remoteness and being disconnected, I appreciated the ability to watch the Mariners advance to the ALCS. It's not too often we have Mariners baseball in October
Truck-worthy notes:
All in all, a great trip. Looking forward to winter camping!
Truck-worthy notes:
- Climbed an aggressive 30-degree hill in 4LO with the trailer and it didn't flinch.
- Really thankful for the full-body PPF I installed. A couple of the trails we made for some nightmare-material scratching sounds.
- Passed a vehicle on a two-lane highway, towing the (light) trailer, going uphill. Continue to be impressed with the torque of the truck. I'm sure it'd be different if I were towing a 5-6,000lb trailer.
All in all, a great trip. Looking forward to winter camping!
