Change from 18 in to 17 in

I had a 2024 off-road with new method 316 17in wheels and 265/70r/17 tires I traded it for a 2026 off-road hybrid that came with 18in wheels and 265/70r/18 tires, I had the dealer swap the 18in out and put on the 17’s clearance seems ok. Would there be a problem with the tire being 1 inch less tall, not worried about the speedo just warranty, drivetrain abs and such.

Also I have an 18 in wheel spare under the truck not sure I can use it

Swap the 18" spare out for a 17". Not good to be riding on different size rims esp on the highway.

The truck doesn’t know what size wheel is installed since there is a rubbery tire between the wheel and the ground.

just upsize your tires to 285/70 r17
