Dirty /smudges inside the headlight lens?

Hi, New 2025 sr Taco. Nice ride, but I noticed that when the headlights are on - they looked smudged /dirty - both L and R sides. Well, it not on the outside - so it must be in the inside. Should I being it in to get to cleaned (Less than 1K miles) and/or checked for leaks ??? Opinions ??

It kind of looks like writing or numbers? Everybody's headlight assembly's are like that

I guess my concern is 1.) it IS brand new. 2.) What is the cause ?? Poor handling / cleaning after enclosure assembly - or due to vent clogs/leak, etc. 3.) Typically these custom light assemblies can be MANY hundreds of dollars. 4.) At least want it documented for warranty coverage should it get worse/need replacement/fail lumen test at my yearly state inspection. Sigh.

Opinions?

I'm not certain but I believe that to be etched letters / numbers on the bulb or housing. If you look online you'll see this to be normal for everyone and not a defect.

Yeah, I think it is normal too. Can't hurt to get it on record just in case it causes state inspection problems later on. I get my inspections done at my Toyota dealer. If they say it is a problem they have to fix it. lol

I'm in that "take it to the dealer" group. They can look it over, document the concern, fix if need be, and you can sleep better with the answers you get - or not.

Yep. I noticed that on my 2025 a couple days ago. It’s not etching or numbers, it’s smudges. It doesn’t seem to impact the effectiveness of the lights, but it makes them look shoddy.
