Took my TrailHunter to the dealership for the first time today. They broke it.

Back when I had a Frontier between Tacomas (wife insistance! She never likes Toyota prices), my Nissan's airbags went off going down a trail (holy moly!) - Nissan gave me free maintenance for several yrs - no dealership here. Drove an hour to closest one. After visit, I'm halfway home, going down highway and truck immediately shuts down w/ gauges going bonkers.

It was discovered mechanic left the air box to the filter open, not closed all the way. :sunglasses:

The “master technician” had zero idea. Also, he told me not to trust the forums; that y’all have no idea and aren’t technicians lol.
I wonder if that “master tech” considers the young employee (likely responsible for your problem) that may have been hired as recently as that morning a “technician” . . . .

SOP is probably to assign any routine maintenance job (oil change, tire rotation, etc.) to the newer guys still learning and the guy you spoke with may have been called over after one of them did something wrong——guessing the rough translation of “had zero idea” was that he needed extra time to figure out and un-screw-up whatever they did. :)

Sorry you had that happen, but glad to hear that everything seems to be good now.
