A couple of days ago I was driving from central Florida to the Outer Banks of North Carolina to do some tuna fishing. I was on I95 most of the way and at one point I realized my Lane Tracing Assist wasn't working. I would push the button on my steering wheel and the icon would display, in white, but when I hit cruise control it didn't engage and turn green, indicating it was working. I also noticed the automatic slowing down in cruise control, for a vehicle in front, was not working. I hit all the buttons and couldn't get it to function. I turned the engine off and on a couple of times but that didn't clear the problem. I got out my owner's manual and couldn't find anything. I did notice I got a DISTINCE CONTROL OFF message when I engaged the cruise control. A friend jokingly said maybe a butterfly committed suicide on the radar sensor on the front bumper. I wiped some dirt and stuff off the sensor and WOW, it started working again. I don't know if it was my clearing the sensor, or one of the many computers decided to fix itself, but I thought I'd share this with the group.
