Driveshaft Recall Notice

Just saw this on my toyota app. I have a 2025 TRD Offroad and assume this might not affect me since I dont have fulltime 4wd? Not too sure. Asked the dealer and they said they don't know anything yet.

Do you drive a Tacoma Limited hybrid? if not, you're fine. It applies to Hybrid which Limited is the only model that have Full Time 4WD.

Yea, most dealers are clueless.

Anyone else catch the declared fuel type of vehicles involved is CNG? That certainly wasn't a shopping option when I was shopping.

The way I read it, this affects both Hybrid AND Non-Hybrid and it applies to both part time 4WD AND full time 4WD.

The difference is full time 4WD has the added benefit of possibly moving even when the vehicle is in park in addition to the potential steering loss issue.

That is correct. The other replies in this thread misunderstood the recall the same way I first did.
