Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my latest video project where I install a dual ARB air compressor in the bed of my truck. This is a kit I got from CA Tuned Off-Raod. In the video, I walk through the entire process of installing the ARB air compressor, showcasing a clean, practical setup that delivers air on demand wherever I go.

The video walks through:
  • How I mounted the compressor in the bed for easy access
  • Wiring and bracket placement tips to keep everything secure and clean
  • Why I went with a bed install vs. under-hood or behind the rear seat
  • A quick rundown of how it performs
If you’ve been thinking about adding on-board air to your Tacoma, this setup might give you some ideas. It’s compact, practical, and ready for trail use—whether that’s airing down/up tires, running tools, or just having a reliable air source on the go.

I’d love to hear how others are running their ARB compressors—did you go under-hood, cab, or bed mount? Any lessons learned from your installs?

I watched your video several times today. The C A Tuned has on their website "video coming soon" I hope you get something if they use it. Great video. I am stuck between going the CA Tuned route and doing something on the drivers side. Similar to the Trailhunter location but with an ARB Twin.

Yeah my video is on their site now. I was in talks with them so they could use it. I did look into buying the Trailhunter compressor but from what I researched it seems like it’s not possible to install. Glad you enjoyed the video!

You can install the TH compressor if you have the data cubby bed side drivers side (USB connection box) however more than likely that would have to stay with the vehicle permanently as appose to a bolt on that can later be unbolted and removed. I didn't like that option. I am leaning towards @PotatoTRD option. https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/threads/arb-compressor-mounts.7232/#post-95184

Yep your video is linked in to their site for the bed mounted ARB compressor. Another question, Did you get the pump up kit as part of the deal. I don't see it as included with the kit. Thanks

Love this! But the mount isn’t sold separately. 👎🏼👎🏼 I already have an ARB twin compressor from my previous vehicle. Guess I’ll be going the DIY route.

I would reach out to them and see if they would sell you just the plate.

Ya, massive thanks on the video. Emails, messages on instagram, and voicemails to CA Tuned to get some insight on installation were never returned (which doesnt bode well if I ever have any issues). But at least there's some clarity around whether the gaping hole in the truck bed (shown in their product photos) was necessary for installation.

Hopefully someone else comes to market with a bracket sold on its own.

yeah it was challenging because there was no instruction on how to do it so I had to figure a lot out on my own. But after figuring out the unknowns it’s a pretty easy install.

The hole is made for access to air compressor. Easier for install and easier to service. Most of all to display. Hole is not necessary at all The video from OP should answer any questions.
