Hello all,
I just opened the box of the Eibach stage 2 pro lift kit 2.0, expecting it to say what the out-of-the-box lift height is so I can adjust the height before I put the wheels back in.

I understand that the rear spring/shock will give 1” lift, but does anyone know the out-of-the-box lift height for this kit?

Also, does anyone know the Tacoma's motion ratio? My internet search says 0.5-0.6 but I am curious if anyone knows a better answer.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Toyota IFS has had a 1:1.5 motion ratio since the 1st Gen Taco/3rd Gen 4runner (based on my measurements at least, over all the versions).

So 1" of preload or spacer on the front coilover nets 1.5" of lift.

Hey jltk, looks like you're also in Canada. Where did you purchase your Eibach kit? I am leaning to the same kit for mine when it arrives and of course want the best price I can get.

On the Eibach site it states the front lift is set to match/level with the rear if the rear is left stock height. I will be curious to see your results once installed.

During the install could you take a comparison pic of the rear stock beside the rear Eibach shocks? I am trying to determine the length of the rear shocks. Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply. I ordered the kit from Amazon; they were a bit pricier than others, but I went ahead with them since it is much easier to return them compared to others.

Even though it states that it is levelling with the rear on their website, it is not entirely accurate. I did my own calculation based on the number of threads and the maximum collar height. out of the box, it will be around 1.8" (appx 76mm from the base and according to their manual, the maximum height is at 86mm from the base, which is a 2.5" lift. And I did confirm these with the tech support person at Eibach, who also said it should be at around 1.8" lift out of the box.

So for my truck, if I installed the factory setting, it would give me about 1/4" rake.

With the rear suspension kit installed, I think the full level height is 82mm from the base of the suspension, which gave me 24" from the center hub to the bottom of the fender, and it measured level all around.

I did not take any pictures, but compared to the factory rear shock, it was around 1.5" taller for the Eibach ones

Hey!

Thanks for the information, I figured I'd be giving Eibach a call to get those details. I like to have some rake so now I can feel good about installing the fronts at the factory setting. When the truck comes in it is going to be what we used to call a 'trail limo', meaning it is the quad cab with the 6ft bed.

How do you like the ride compared to stock? Did you go with the 2R rear shocks?

I had the Stage 1 kit on my 2018 and felt it was decent for the low cost at that time. I forget which AAL I added to the rear, but it was a single leaf added to the factory pack. I suspect the Stage 2 with new rear coils will be even better.
