Hello everyone! I defected from owning Bronco almost a week ago to a ‘25 TRD Off-Road. It’s got the hybrid. Is that what makes it “premium”? Wasn’t sure when I filled out my profile... Anyway, about 3.5 years ago I traded my Tundra and a Jeep for a Bronco. Loved it and had some great adventures! Phenomenally capable off-road vehicle, but it definitely had its quirks and issues. I also really missed having a truck… Once I started thinking about a truck, everything that annoyed me about a Bronco just seemed to magnify.

Looking forward to the Tacoma experience. :D

Hey Mike, welcome to the forum! Premium is an option package that adds a bunch of toys that the Off Road does not come with. If you have it, it should be listed on your sticker. Either way these are great trucks!

Congrats on your new truck. This is my third Toyota truck, my second Tacoma and my favorite Toyota truck so far. I really need a truck in my garage, and although the Bronco might out wheel your new truck in a few extreme situations, the Off Road can definitely hold its own. Enjoy!

Hmmm… didn’t see Premium on the window sticker. I’ll check again. And I don’t plan on giving up off-roading so I’m glad to hear the Tacoma is capable.

I'm debating the same move from a 2 door Bronco. I haven't had any major issues, just some quirks. Mainly just looking at having a truck again (last one was in 2006 - '93 22R-E). How's the move been?

No regrets so far. Been making little changes here and there. Used Carista to change a few settings and it was much easier than using FORScan with the Bronco. Can’t do as much with it though. Doing a lot of reading and planning out mods. Probably next summer before I do anything major, like a lift and some KO3s.

Soundsystem is leaps and bounds better than the base audio system in Broncos. More stable too. Have only had to reset it once in over a month. Seemed like it was a few times per week with my OBX. The light sensor that dims the automatic headlights doesn’t seem to be as sensitive as the Bronco’s. Really not a a big deal though.

I’m really enjoying it!

Yeah, just pulled the trigger. I may miss the Bronco....but after 20 years with a Jeep or a Bronco, I'm kinda ready for a truck again. I've just gotten to the point where I'm not hardcore 4 wheeling based on where I live (but still need 4wd when I'm camping/biking), and I want the flexibility of having a truck bed.

Make sure to post up what you got!

(Thought I recognized your screen name. I’m mikec426 on the Bronco forum . From the way that thread went I thought you were keeping the Bronco.)
