So I have read a lot of the posts on different types of lifts since I am in the market for a small lift. Some talk about new vibrations some don’t. I would like to have one thread to share your answer to these question no mater what lift you have installed. This is not to judge or argue but share info cause we all have a different needs and use for our truck. I am new to this so I may not even be asking the right questions so please help and add them.

What type of lift and height increase?
Did you install UCA and what type?
Did you do an alignment when completed?
Mods to the rear?
Did you do the Diff drop?
Do you have any new vibrations after the kit was installed in the front?
What did you do to correct or get rid of the vibrations?
Do you have any problems with the front axle?
How is the overall drive and feel?

Thanks all

1) poor quality or improperly installed diff drop will cause vibrations. Keep the lift under 2.5 and skip the diff drop. I skipped the diff drop.

2) Needle bearing failure often occurs when lifting over 1 inch, sometimes less. It’s a carry over problem from gen2 and 3. So if your going to tear down to replace or remove the front coil overs plan on getting the ECGS bushing to fix and forget about the problem. DIY was about 2.5 hours for the ECGS bushing.

I lifted mine 1.5 in the front 1 in the rear (JRi shocks) icon +1 rear springs, factory UCA but will probably get JBA’s because at full drop I only have about 1/4 inch of clearance between the UCA and the shock. Alignment was done.

Ride is far better than factory! Zero problems with the axels, and I’ve certainly tested them🤣

I personally have a total chaos king coil over lift 2 1/2" with Dobson 819 coil Springs in the rear. I did not go with a diff drop Over 5000 miles, no problems. No vibration.
Ride is amazing and corners like a Porsche.

How much preload on the front Kings did you set them at? Just received mine from King and they came with about 1/2” (5 threads) showing.

Your preload on your king's shocks will do be determined by the amount of weight you have added to your truck..
My preload is at about 15 threads.

When my lift was installed by Toyota, Toyota, told me that the preload was not sufficient for the amount of load that I had on my truck to level it up.
Currently, the front end still sits a bit lower. I did this intentionally so that when I load the bed with my camping gear, it sits even.
I upgraded the rear Springs to 819. Dobsons.

Are you also replacing the UCAs and rear springs?

yes I understand that. I have to start somewhere which is why I was asking what you were set at. I have an aftermarket front bumper and a winch. Figured the 1/2” (5 threads) they came with wasn’t enough. Looking for a starting point to try. Have some weight in the back with a full size (35”) spare in the bed and an aftermarket rear bumper. Bought some +1” Eibach springs per a recommendation from total Chaos tech.

I went with the Peak 1” preload and Cornfed 3/4” top spacer for 1.75” total front lift. I also did the Cornfed 1” rear lift.
Stock UCA, no diff drop
Yes I did an alignment, I had no rubbing before the alignment, but after I had rubbing on our oversized mud flaps here in Canada. Nothing a little bit of trimming couldn’t fix. I’m running 295/70R17 on a 17x8 +20 wheel.
No vibrations and everything drives and feels like stock.

Yes, I replaced the upper control arms and the rear Springs, along with the rear shocks and replaced the factory droplings with new king droplinks
Go to running for tacos and look up the total chaos king package and then I added the drop links from king.
