Hi everyone,

Just wanted to introduce ourselves—we're the tech support team at Mangoal Dash Cam, glad to officially join the Tacoma4G community!

We're mainly here to help with any tech questions or troubleshooting, and to hook you guys up with exclusive forum discounts down the road.

We know Tacoma owners care about clean OEM-style installs and making sure everything works smoothly without dangling cables. Our dash cam replaces the factory mirror/sensor cover seamlessly and uses a true plug-and-play harness with zero wire tapping.

If you'd like to see the full step-by-step installation process and how it looks inside the cab, check out our walkthrough video here:

Feel free to ask any questions below regarding compatibility, installation steps, or features. Looking forward to being part of the 4G build journeys here!

Does it have parking mode?
Yep, it supports parking mode. Right now we offer standard OBD cables and fuse box hardwire kits for that.

We’re also working on a new plug-and-play parking mode harness for newer Toyota models (2024+ Tacoma, LC250, GX550, 2025+ 4Runner) that taps right into the overhead console plug, so no running wires down to the fuse box needed.

We'll actually be putting together a tester recruitment thread on the forum soon with free units for guys willing to help test out the new harness. I'll drop you a line once that goes live! 👍

Looks very similar to FitcamX...
Fair point! The outer shell is definitely similar since we're both aiming for that clean, factory-fit look. Most of the differences are hardware-wise on the inside:
  • Sensor: We use genuine Sony STARVIS sensors (including STARVIS 2 options for better night vision) instead of generic sensors.

  • Thermals: Built-in aluminum heatsink core to handle heavy summer heat on the windshield.

  • Internal build: Uses FPC ribbon cables inside to stay reliable over rough roads/vibrations.

  • GPS: Integrated GPS comes standard on our setups.
Basically, same OEM look on the outside, but built with a different hardware spec inside. 👍

Awesome, got you down! I'll drop you a DM as soon as the thread goes live and we start sending out the test units.

We still have 2 testing spots open for 2024+ Tacoma owners who want to test this overhead parking mode harness (comes with a free Starvis 2 camera kit).

If anyone else wants in, drop a pic of your rig and trim level in our official testing thread over here: https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/thre...g-and-play-parking-harness-2024-tacoma.22640/

I'll be willing to test. I really like the parking mode option on cameras, but I'd rather not do the fuse tap.
