Help with Offset?

Hey everyone.

despite my best efforts I cannot visualize how this set up would turn out

I’m looking at the KMC KM728 Lobo wheels. They come in multiple offsets but I’m leaning toward +18.

i have a TRD off road, no lift or anything.
I know running this wheel will need a slightly wider tire ~1.5”)

but assuming I use the same tire height and the only thing that changes is the wheel width and the offset, can anyone help me understand in plain terms how much further these would poke out?

I don’t want them to be excessively out of the fender flares.

Go to willtheyfit.com and plug in all the parameters of stock vs. your +18 wheels. Stock wheels are 7.5" wide and +55 offset. Stock tires are 265/70 r17, or 265/65 r18 if you have an Offroad Premium. You'll likely want to step up to at least a 33" tire, so 285/70 r17, 265/70 r18, 275/70 r18, or 285/65 r18.

appreciate the site but I was looking for an answer like “from your current sidewall, come out X inches” to make it plane as day for me.

I’ve tried using things like this site before and the disparity between the website prediction and how it actually looked was wildly off on another vehicle.

Sure, then try this site: Rim & Tire Size Calculator. Custom Offsets - Wheel-Size.com

Far more detailed and it will tell you exactly how far your sidewall will stick out. It's pretty foolproof.

Because I'm a nice guy, I'll do it for you:

versus the stock 265/70 r17 tires and 17x7.5 +55 wheels, the 285/70 r17 tires and 17x8.5 +18 wheels , the wheels will stick out 1.97 inches farther than the stock wheels, and the tires will stick out an additional 1.85 inches. That offset will give you a pretty substantial amount of poke.

yea seems +25-35 is the sweet spot. Just hell finding what I’m looking for without having to make it a multi step process lol
