The voltage readings will be the same with an AGM battery as with a conventional one. It is a different tech to store power, but it works the same way in your truck. My wife had an SUV that ate batteries on a regular basis and the dealer could never figure that out. A new Optima fixed that problem for the rest of the time we owned it, which made me a believer.Shower thoughts: Assuming I get the Optima AGM battery, will the truck’s voltage meter be able to capture accurately what it measures? I see on the dash, the meter range 9 to 19. Is this going to lead me down a rabbit hole of additional instrumentation?
