Just picked up a manual TRD Sport - The downshift rev matching with iMT works great, but I noticed that it doesn't stay on -- turns off after the engine is stopped. Is there a way to keep iMT on as default? Checked the manual but didn't see anything.

I am also curious about this! It makes for a seamless driving experience and I prefer it now! Any luck figuring out how to keep it on by default?

Unfortunately no, but a couple thousand miles later I'm somewhat indifferent. There are definitely times when I don't want the aggressive rev matching on downshifts.

I really like the sometimes aggressive rev-matching on downshifts; this is what a skilled driver should be doing anyway to minimize clutch wear due to mismatched drive train component speeds. I especially appreciate that this shows Toyota's continued commitment to the last truck with a stick shift...

Nope. It resets to off when you turn the truck off.
