One of the trade offs of going to the 4Runner lamp vs the Upper trim Tacoma lamps is that the 4Runners do not have sequential turn signals.
You sure about that I put TRD pros from a TRD pro 4Runner onto my 4Runner orp and the sequential feature does not work

The 4Runner does not have sequential turn signals. Only the Tacoma Limited, TRD Pro and Trailhunter headlamps have sequential signals.

Oh I thought the upper trim 4Runners did have that feature. So if I put the 4Runner TRD pros on my Tacoma it won’t feature the sequential turn signal? This would explain why the Tacoma TRD pros are more than the 4Runner ones.

Yes that is correct. The control module for the sequential signal is built into the lamp, so yea thats likely why the Tacoma lamps are more expensive.

Oh well that’s not a deal breaker for me as I love the amber drls. Got a pair for my Tacoma for 1500.00 better than my fist set I paid 2k for the 4Runner

Here is a more cost effective way to get amber lights with sequential turn signals.

My only issues is AlphaRex headlamps in a Tacoma are a dime a dozen. They look great but when everyone is doing it, it isn't really unique nor does it stand out from the crowd.

As opposed to stock lights?
all of the 24+ Tacomas here all have stock lights. Pro and trailhunter. No one has Alpharex near me.

Wow now we’re gonna bicker on lights lol. I like the oem for many reasons and already have Alpharex on my tundra they are nice but won’t last as long as oem. My biggest thing is u keep leveler adjuster with oem not Alpharex paid 1500 for TRD pros so practically same price as Alpharex so both are a waste of money lol

And I’m sure you have seen less than 10 stock headlights?
No but when there are that many in such a small town when the trucks only been out 2 years now, can't really say they are unique. Probably find even more of them if I drove down into the city. And thats just counting ones I see on the road. I prefer to do something far more unique. Something you won't likely see on a Tacoma on the roads and even online it won't be a common thing to see.

I’ll get back to you in 2027 on my lights.
And all the OEM features work. I can adjust and use auto highbeams.
