Hi people. Always liked Toyotas but never stayed the course. Last new truck was 1982 SR5 HiLux, then in 1992 bought an 85 FJ60 Diesel 4 banger with 5spd manual. That was it until now where I am testing a 25 Taco TRD OR 6 spd manual on this coming Monday. I like to pair a turbo engine with a manual to get the upper cylinder heat with boost even at lower speeds. Hard to drive like that with an auto. Today I designed a sway bar decoupler that is sealed from the elements and would use a cable and lever with springs to disconnect and reconnect. Sway bar will require cutting and machining with collars welded on each piece that will prevent the piece from rotating. We cannot get the decoupler here unless one buys the TRD Pro or the Trailhunter in Canada. Why? Who knows.
Anyway I do believe they have sorted the issues out with the 2025 model and look forward to slight mods like Elka suspension and some external goodies
