I keep hearing this but The Tacoma's sale numbers are solid and up from past years and generations so Sales are strong when you look at the sales numbers. And price wise, they're in line with their main competitors (Ranger and Colorado).

Toyota is running about 49 days of supply on Tacomas (all trims combined), about the "sweet spot" and holding steady. Every other competitor is 2-4 times as high, and the only way it's going down is cutting production.

Discounts, depends. I did get 5K off, but I knew the manager of a Toyota Dealership via a close friend.... All of the other dealers (NorCal) weren't discounting at all, or <$1K, but forcing $1-2K of crap. And I'm a fairly good negotiator usually. Even the "ad" cars weren't being discounted much... usually near TSRP.

Ford right now is giving $2K Rebates and there's as much as $2500 back-end cash on the Ranger right now... they have less inventory, but that's because they switched to the 2026 model coming out. In in-line with the Toyota. And hell, unless you get the top trim, you still need a physical key to start them...
I got 6k off my first trd or taco that my daughter now owns, and over 7k off my current trd or premium taco. Deals were there to be had if you pushed for them In 24.

Go buy a transmission cooler from Mishimoto if you're not happy with 4hi overheating during low speed ascents.
