Are you sure on this I just got my TRD pro ones for my new 4.runner tried only test plugging in one plug to see if it does anything and nothing. Super bummed but not totally giving up yet. This weekend taking it all apart and will ply in all connectors. Hoping everything has to be plugged in so we will see. I have a 25 4Runner TRD off road premium trying the trd pros .
They should work. Definitely plug in all connectors first. But let us know of the results! I am going to test the 4Runner Pro lights on my Tacoma and see if they work or not.

Could you do me a favor and see what your lights do when only one plug is plugged in the black small one with 3 prongs inside and disconnect the white one. Curious to see if yours do anything with it like that. I am anxious to find out but not taking mine apart till Saturday. Still waiting on the other headlight too stupid fedex is lagging lol.

Are the limited lights the exact same as the pros except they read Tacoma instead of trd pro?? Same full led? Same color, etc?

Yes. That is pretty much the only difference. They all have the same white LED DRL and sequential signal.

appreciate that. I am getting conflicting information that the limited may have some chrome in the housing vs the pro being all black. Reason being I cracked one of my pro headlights and seeing if i can replace it with a used limited i found and hoping they will look the same visually with the exception of saying “Tacoma” vs “TRD Pro” when they light up on the side. Let me know what you think

To my knowledge there isn't any chrome/fake chrome on the headlamps themselves. Just on the grille, lower bumper piece where the foglights are, door/tailgate handles and the mirrors.

For anyone interested, the 4Runner TRD Pro headlamps are 100% plug and play. You do need a proper headlight aiming done as they point low after install with the manual adjuster already at 0 however.

Are they brighter LEDs?
They at least seem brighter side by side. It could be it’s just a more focused beam of light but I drove home in the dark with one OEM lamp still in and the one TRD Pro one just to compare night time visibility and the 4Runner lamp at least looked like it projected more light but maybe wasn’t quite as far reaching.

I will add, I do still need to do a final aiming on the lights. I kinda half assed it doing it myself with the scanner and eye balled it on a wall. It still isn’t 100% in the right spot just yet. Going to get a tech to aim them for me properly once I finish doing the other side.
