I want to replace the Qi charging pad with something else and use the wiring harness to power it, so I need to understand the pinout for that wiring harness.

Can anyone here point me to that info? I bought a wiring schematic, but maybe I've forgotten more about electronics and schematics than I thought I did. I can't seem to parse the schematic (attached) to understand which pins are the positive & negative power lines.

Any info is greatly appreciated!

Im not sure about the schematic but how many pins are on the connector for the charge pad?

In the picture above, not clear but it looks like 2 - which is all it really needs.

I wish it was that easy.

There are eight pins.

You didnt ask for a guess but here is mine.

Pin 1 - Ground
Pin 2 - unused
Pin 3 - Key-on power (accessory)
Pin 4 - Battery (+12)
Pin 5 - Canbus High
Pin 6 - Canbus Low
Pin 7 - TAIL ? Possible for the charge indicator
Pin 8 - Smart key ECU

You probably want accessory power but i'm not sure i would put a load directly on that. The factory charge pad is also getting +12 battery so it may be using Accessory to activate a solid state relay for charging power.

It is. I am removing the charge pad and want to use its power connection to provide power to something else with similar electrical specs.

That certainly looks like a ground symbol on pin 1. I agree that pins 3 & 4 seem to be 12v.

It’s pretty confusing to me why the charge pad needs all those connections. AFAIK, it’s not communicating with anything, just energizing a Qi charging pad.

I suppose I’ll test running 12v through pins 3 & 4 individually from a bench power supply and see if the Qi charger gets power.
