My OR premium passenger ventilated seat was making a louder noise.

Almost like the fan was hitting something. Was going to tell dealer at first free oil change. Was bored today and decided to take things into my own hands.

Unzipped the seat back and removed the fan. Plastic was slightly warped. Didn’t tighten as much on the reinstall. All good now!

Nice!
Could the plastic have warped because of the heated seats

Not likely as the fan is isolated from the heat element. It was either warped or too tight. I just took it all apart and sounds good now.
The fan is the circular part top center. Held by 4 screws.

Wow! I had no idea there was that much crap in our seats.

My passenger seat is noticeably loud too, I didn't realize there were two fans. So you just loosened the fan assembly and that gave enough room to clear any warped blades?

My Ram 3500 blows air from the air conditioner.
Is it the same here or is it just blowing cabin air ?

Just cabin air. But there's a heat/AC vent under the seat so if the A/C is on, it's probably pulling some of that up into the seat.

I took the fan completely out and took it a part. Try just loosening these 4 black screws without removing the whole fan. See if that helps.

I did mine earlier today... took about 15 minutes. All it was was 1 overtightened screw. Turned the fan on and started to back the screws out little by little and as soon as I started to loosen the first screw, the fan noise stopped.
Sweet. I’m glad I could help.

Didn't even touch the black ones.

Thats disappointing.
Its very satisfying to have cold air applied to your ass and back on a hot day.

My 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn has ventilated and heated seats. Each seat has a fan in the seat itself (front seats)

And there’s your difference between Cooled Seats and Ventilated Seats

Ya, I was a bit disappointed when my $76K Ram didn't have the electronic cooling units like all my Super Duty trucks had for the seats. Maybe no one uses them anymore?

I've had cooled/ventilated seats in a few rentals over the years, but never my own cars. I always thought it felt like I had pissed myself.

That being said, it is nice to have on hot days. I might get an aftermarket kit since my Sport+ didn't come with them.
