I would like to use the OEM Toyota cameras in conjunction with my Wolfbox and/or FitcamX systems. I am having trouble finding any detailed info on the cameras (grille-mount or third brake light mount). The cameras have 4 pins in the connector, does anyone have a source for the pinout of these connectors? The third brake light assembly that I bought (the one with two integrated cameras) came with a wiring pigtail but the grille-mount camera did not...I have purchased wiring harnesses from Toyota hoping that one comes with the camera connector but so far no joy. The documentation I have is woefully inadequate to identify the camera connector. I see that there are a few aftermarket vendors who are making interface products that mate OEM cameras to aftermarket devices but, so far none meet my needs. Whatever I find out about these OEM units and how I mate them to the video storage devices will be shared with the forum.

I've wondered the same thing.

The new 2026 Rav4 has an integrated dash cam, so we know that it's possible. The question is if it's configurable the Tacoma (and other vehicles).

Since the cameras are viewable, it would seem (imvho) that it's a software / programming issue that Toyota has chosen not to offer?

I have a 25 Tacoma and my partner just purchased a 26 RAV4. The dealer told us it’s a newer version of the Toyota Operating System in the RAV4, which is why it works. So maybe if Toyota updates the Tacoma to the same system, it will be a feature.

Yup. Kinda my point.
We know that it *can* be done. The question is if (how?) that technology can be applied to other platforms AND what it will take to do so - plus - what it will cost! (Toyota won't do that for free!)
