Hey guys, does anyone have a picture to show how it would fit down lower and reach the screws? I’ve confirmed I have the right part number but shown in the pictures above doesn’t go all the way down. It’s blocked by the back piece of plastic. Thank you.

I had a headrest safe for my 2022 Tacoma, but the 4gen Tacoma uses a small headrest and won’t be able to use the headrest safe. Can someone please confirm if a full sized govt length 1911 fits in that console vault? I would like a discrete way to lock a CCW permitted 1911.. thank you

OEM Console Safe Part Numbers
For Hybrids (2400W Inverter) P# PT971-35240
Non-Hybrids (400W inverter) P# PT971-35241

Hybrids have smaller center consoles due to the bigger inverters.

I put mine in last week and had the same tight fit issue—messed with the bracket a bit and it finally slid in. For folks asking about options, Liberty has mini gun safes that fit the OEM space without modding. I like that it feels solid without rattles. The combo lock’s smooth too. Just double check the height if you’re using organizers inside the console already—they can get in the way.

Does this console safe fit a government length 5” 1911 pistol?

I went with the best gun safe from Liberty for my setup and it fits perfectly in the OEM console without any mods. Used the same mounting holes and had it in place in under 20 minutes. The lid lines up clean, and the locking mechanism is smooth. It feels super solid, and I don’t hear any rattling while driving. Definitely worth it if you're looking for some peace of mind.

Maybe by itself… I have a Kimber I can test with later. But I wouldn’t really want a 1911 laying inside unholster. Unless I were for sure going to not be moving the car at all.

SIG P365 in an ANR Master Blaster with mag holder barely fits through the opening. But it will fit.

Thank you for checking… I have a carry permit, in Kalifornia.. the latest law(s) that dislike firearms, include if any dining establishment offers alcohol, I cannot carry unless I have permission from the owner of the restaurant. Lame example, local breakfast places serves mimosas… therefore, I cannot carry. I would be storing the firearm in the locking console when the vehicle is not moving, otherwise it is on my hip.

Kimber was buried too deep. But here’s a Springfield. It fits but only in one specific direction in its configuration. I confirmed the safe closes. If you use a thinner magazine baseplate it might fit the other way too. I was not aware of the restaurant/alcohol rule. Gonna have to read up on the new regulations. I’d get out of this state but my kids are at school here so I’m stuck for now.
