I just completed the @Peak Suspension Peak 2.0 Aluminum Series Explorer Kit upgrade for my 2024 TRD Off Road Tacoma. So far I am very impressed with the support and price point that Peak and Krave Automotive provide for the suspension upgrade.

The installation took over a 10 hours to complete and the rear spring installation was a bit of challenge to install, but overall the Peak Suspension step-by-step instruction guides were bang on. My only regret was not recording the process because I haven't been unable to find a complete YouTube installation of a Peak Suspension system on a 2024 Tacoma.

I am in the process of completing the driving tests before the final suspension configuration and equipment torquing, but so far everything appears to be fine with the installation. The last part of my 4th Generation build will include the replacing of the OEM rear suspension trailing arms and sway bar. Peak Suspension currently has a billet trailing arms which are far more than what I need at this point and they are hoping to release the sway bar in early January. I am trying to find a lighter aluminum tubular solution for my final upgrade.

Currently I am looking at at an American solution from Core 4x4 which provides a seven piece rear suspension tubular solution with custom colors for the 4th Gen Tacoma at a very competitive price and life time warranty. I am open to any suggestions on rear suspension aluminum tubular upgrade solutions if anyone has already gone down this path.

the rear suspension is way easier to change than the fronts, what was the difficult process of the rear springs? genuinely curious. when i installed my rear lift springs and shocks it took 10 minutes tops

That’s a great question, and you’re spot on about the rear spring installation! I had a local mechanic do it, and he mentioned that installing the springs took longer than all the other Peak suspension parts combined. So, I didn’t get to see the specifics of how the springs were installed.

It’s been below -20 Celsius for the last couple of weeks, so I haven’t adjusted the Peak suspension settings yet. I’m happy with the extra height of the truck now, but the spring installation definitely made the ride feel stiffer. Once it warms up, I’m hoping the Peak suspension adjustment dials will help smooth things out.

I have scheduled the installation of the Core 4x4 rear control arms next week. I have opted to go with lighter aluminum build which I hope will compliment the Peak front suspension system. I will provide an update once the installation is complete.

On another note, I had someone ask if I owned the truck prior to making these modifications and the answer is yes, otherwise I might have been more cautious about making these types of modifications prior to the warranty expiring. My dealership has not said anything about the modifications affecting my warranty up to this point.

If you don't mind me asking, what spring and suspension system did you install on your Tacoma?
