Recently had this error message display, my phone battery was at least 70% or better each time this has occurred.

I would just perform a restart on the device, change cords, and see what happens.

If you have a Samsung, you can do diagnostic checks on the charging port through the settings too.

If you have a Samsung, you can do diagnostic checks on the charging port through the settings too.
Service appointment this morning at my dealer so will get their feedback but I think your suggestion is likely correct.

Mine started doing same thing a couple of days ago. Have not figured out cause. Phone is charged over 80%.
I'm at Toyota dealer for service this morning im going to ask about it.
Tried phone restart and disconnect from truck but no change so far.

It's android auto problem. I found threads on other vehicles as well having the same issue including subarus. If you look at the play store for the android auto app there are also negative reviews that speak of this same issue. I was thinking mine got messed up when I installed the beat sonic amp. Glad I didn't take everything apart to remove it! I'm sure this problem will be fixed in a future update from android auto

Thanks for the info, my dealer hadn't seen this issue yet and found no TSB's on this problem
