Mine has both that rear brake thing, plus it's in in the range of VIN's regarding the Tranny swap out. But honestly mines been behaving fine sitting @ 16.5k miles now. I will take it in @ the 20K mark and pick up my 2nd free oil change, tire rotation, and have them fix the rear brake issue if they want. Otherwise gonna keep driving it for now until/if ever the tranny gets grumpy. But for now I'm quite happy.

Words matter. OP doesn't understand that there is a recall on the BSM SENSORS and the brake LINES. Not a brake SENSOR like he was arguing about.

Again words matter or OP is the first person to have a brake SENSOR problem (if that's even a thing).
That's what the tech said. Don't know if it's across the whole line of trucks or not. Dude didn't say. He was well aware of the brake line issue, as is everybody that got the message on the app. That is why I was surprised by what he said. I will let the thread know when I find out more, but to come on here and basically call me a liar, is uncalled for. The whole point of my post was to see if anybody else had been told what I had.

I haven't had any issues with my truck either, but they fixed one recall issue while I was there and it didn't take long at all.

I agree, no need to become accusatory, but I think this post by KJC sums it up pretty clearly.

There are two different recalls:

1) the faulty sensor/internal computer error for when towing on equipped models

AND (unrelated)

2) the brake lines being too scrawny on all the 4x4s with 17” wheels that Toyota does not have the necessary inventory of parts to be installed on the ‘24s (hence the “interim” on the notice)

If you got told there is a brake sensor recall or service bulletin or something, either the tech was wrong in what they said, you just misinterpreted what they said, or you are the first person anyone here has heard of having this brake SENSOR recall. If you had a screenshot of the app like KJC shared here, it would be a lot easier to sort out this misunderstanding

I have both unfortunately... One looks specific to towing so I'm not to worried right now... Brake lines we just wait for the fix
