Anyone else use this harbor freights Badland 1.5 ton jack over the factory jack? This jack fits perfectly into a 12 gallon husky container. I figured if I need to change tires and wheels it would be easier with this jack vs the bottle style jack.

I love this. I’ve been going back and forth on 1.5 ton and the 3 ton. The 1.5 ton is on sale tomorrow for the 12 days of Xmas @ harbor freight.

Yes. I also got a one time use 15% discount coupon in my email and used it to purchase at $237 vs $279. Picked it up today.

That's great. We can't get those husky tubs in Canada. I looked for one to put a starlink into and Home Depot doesn't carry them.

I looked on Amazon and couldn’t find a husky brand but found a few other brands but their prices are pretty high. I paid $31 for the husky container at Home Depot.

I bought an aftermarket piston jack that’s a little stronger than the OEM, plus has a plate adapter on the top. I already had to use the factory and it sucks. I personally hate the twist/turn style piston jacks and prefer the pump.

Everything still stows behind the seat so that was a win.

Yeah the factory jack is the last thing I want to mess with in a frigid winter stretch of highway trying to replace your wheels or repair a flat tire. Imagine trying to do it on trails.

Pics or link? I used the factory jack in ideal conditions on my driveway. I can't imagine using it on the side of the highway. Looking for alternatives.

I also got the bottle jack adapter and a ARB jack base for stability in sand/uneven surfaces

Ask your American (Tacoma4G) friends to send you some in exchange for maple syrup?

I bought the ARB Jack before the 1.5 ton released. I really like the ARB Jack but I haven't figured out where/how to mount it. ARB sells a Jack mount for the Bronco but its like 400 bones. I'd like to mount it to the Rig'd UltraSwing

Mojab makes a nice one also. They’re all super pricey but worth it.

Nice that the 1.5-ton jack fits in the box, but my understanding is that the lightest stock 4th gen Tacomas weigh more than 4000 pounds. A 2-ton jack is still less than the minimum one should use.

At home I use a 3-ton floor jack. Not portable for me at 85 pounds but gets the job done safely at home.

The 4th gen OEM stock bottle jack is weight rated for the 2+ ton pickups but only recommended to use on the corner. So I get why you want something more stable. If not a higher weight rated floor jack, a bottle jack with an added base stabilizer or support as someone was recommending above sounds good.
I know I need to do something different for wilderness trips, but haven’t gotten around to it yet. Need to get the bugs worked out of my truck throttle electronics first.
