Retrofitting Limited OEM Power Running Boards on a TRD Off-road

Just got a '25 TRD Offroad with premium package and loving it!
I had a chance to try the power running boards (PRB) on a Tundra platinum and really liked them as well - there when you need them and not when you don't.

I know there are options for PRB like RC/Go Rhino and AMP in the after market but RC/Go Rhino use magnets that snake under the door liner and AMP don't seem available (and sound like they're slow to deploy even when they are). For these reasons and just for general OEM vibes, I'm curious about what it would take to install OEM PRB on non-limited Tacos.

So far I've found part numbers and system diagrams and it seems like you need at minimum the running boards and motors themselves and also a PRB ECU. It seems from my research that no one has successfully retrofitted this on a new gen Tacoma/Tundra/4runner yet. I'm attaching those here so other interested folks can use them if they want.

Here are the part numbers for the running boards and motors:

The PRB ECU is part number 89720-35010

I think that's the first step to this project is understanding if my truck has the required pigtails/harness or if I need to lay that. With that in mind:
Can any Limited owners with Power Running Boards post some pictures of the pigtail that the running board motor plugs into? Curious what it looks like and where it comes from.

My hope is that it will be as easy as buying the parts including running boards/motors/ecu, plugging them in, and initializing them. Hopefully don't need to run wires....

There's also the switch, it's a rocker that goes from off, auto, on. I didn't realize there is also a special ECU. If someone doesn't beat me to it I'll take some pictures.

If there is an ECU under the passenger seat, it's either tiny, or under the carpet.

Great point about the switch totally forgot about that one! Here's the entire TIS wiring diagram for the PRB and a screenshot of the switch wiring. Gotta check if I have those pigtails as well.

Thanks for all the photos! Exactly what I was looking for with the running board pigtail. I will take a closer look today when I get a chance but I didn't see any when i took a glance yesterday so not feeling super hopeful...

Good job putting this all together. It may help others using other brand’s boards but the OEM switch.

Do they have two motors per side? Any markings on them other than Toyota?
