Roof Weather Stripping -- aftermarket options?

I’m getting rid of my Toyota OEM roof rack. Are there any alternatives to the OEM weather stripping once I have it removed?

I took mine off. I have not seen any good options.

What I did was buy (8) M6x12mm bolts to plug the holes and then used some silicone caulk over them for weather sealant. Then when I sold the rack I traded the trim pieces with the guy I sold it to.

I’ve seen other people just seal the holes with caulk, or use butyl tape. I think any of those would work.

To be clear, Toyota sells the trim pieces which do not actually seal anything and are just cosmetic. The holes are originally sealed by a film that is painted over during manufacturing. You will need to do something to seal these holes.
