I have the EKR neoprene and so far they’re good. Go slow with routing the straps for the front bottoms especially with power seats. Also I just used one finger to get the elastic back around the underside clips, with the seat back reclined a bunch and followed around the clip. Easy.
removing an option but with the airbags and power I didn’t think it was much easier but maybe it is. I’ve put them in both 4th gens now.

Honestly I wish a company would make some seat covers out of marine-grade vinyl and not the cheapo leatherette that every company seems to be using. I have EKR covers in mine and while the fitment is great, the material is just terrible! The seats are so sticky that you can hardly move around in them and it grabs your clothes in all the wrong ways. Marine vinyl is much more slippery and just way more comfortable.
thanks for this feedback. thats helpful!

I agree with this and CharlieLED. I seriously want to take off my carlimeki seat covers and burn them to ash so that no one else can possibly experience them. After more than a year with them I wish I didnt cheap out early on with something i would have to deal with everytime I drive the truck. I am disappointed that I still haven't made the move to a higher quality product. Theyre non-breathable, hot, sticky, swass inducing seat covers. The red piping has faded to pink already from the sun even with my nano ceramic tinted windowns all around and daily use of a sunshade.

Perforations as an option are a must in my opinion.

I would want something with material like the toyota softex seats they offer for the premium and higher trims at a minimum. Softex is also pleather from what I understand, but still very comfortable according to those who have it.

Real leather would be awesome, too - i think of something like the crown signia interior. Super comfy and luxurious feeling material used. Basically a Lexus interior.

Making a katzskins competition product with full reupholstering and real leather could be a great option. If there are good instructions with an installation kit to accompany the covers and the price is competitive it might incentivize more of the DIY folks.

Something interesting I saw that katzskins offers is a heated/ventilated add on. Takes more work to hook it up, but i would put a well engineered ventilated seat cover/reupholstering solution very high on my list if it was also DIY friendly with well written/filmed instructions. Personally, I would want the option for only ventilated or only heating or both rather than being forced to get both like the katzskins.
