Got the recovery points while they were on sale during the holidays. Note - I couldn't find this in the install instructions but the included front recovery point bolts are 15mm. The stock one's are 17mm. Short of a skinned knuckle an otherwise easy install for both front and rear.

Got the bedcover on Amazon. Highly rated and more importantly free shipping to HI. Fairly straightforward install despite the instructions being written by someone whose first language is not definitely not English. Most notably, went through some fairly decent bouts of rain with little to no leakage. Even turned the pressure washer on it with same results. For reference, I have an Extang Solid Fold on a Tundra and that thing leaks like a sieve.

Is there a specific reason why you did not reuse the OEM bolts for the recovery points?

Yeah good question. I'd considered it but I don't have a lot of experience wrenching on cars so just followed the video instructions which showed using the bolts it came packaged with. The instructions have specific torque values so assumed they applied to the supplied bolts. Btw, assume you're referring to the front recovery points as the rear ones didn't have pre-existing bolts like the front.

Oh yes, I was referring to the front. By the way, a word of caution, the recovery points in the front are attached to a drop-down weld from the frame. That translates into a needing an easy tug as opposed to a snatch, If you ever have to use those if you get stuck. I took mine off because I have recovery shackles on my covert steel bumper

Exactly, those recovery points that you add to the front are not designed to really get you out when your frame deep stuck. The ones on this backwoods , adventure bumper are though.

Oh shoot, thanks! I had envisioned getting a kinetic rope or snatch strap so good to know.

The recovery points in the back are good because they’re pulling with the direction of the frame, so no issue from the rear. The drop-down weld and hooks in the front are good for strapping down on a tow truck flatbed. As for the cleanliness, a little dirt never hurt a truck because it is a truck. You don’t want your truck being accused of being a pavement princess.
