Tailgate Unlock Button

I have an SR5 double cab with manual tailgate. to unlock I either need to go an grab and driver or passenger door handle or unlock doors with keyfob. I'm looking to somehow either change the handle of the tailgate to have a button that will unlock the tailgate (my wife's lexus nx has this ability), and a button somewhere, or change one of the tail light assemblies to the one with a button for the power tail gate. i am only looking to unlock the tailgate.

I was hoping to find that higher models (mines just an SR) had the auto-unlock thing at the tailgate too, like on the driver door handle. I was hoping to swap mine out, but it sounds like that's not the case?

Same here… was hoping to have the Pop & Lock brand have an option for the 4th gen but have yet to see one made

The limited trim has a touch unlock tailgate handle. I imagine any trim with the power tailgate might

Now the question is, do they install the wiring for the power tailgate across the board? If so, theoretically it could be installed aftermarket. Anyone pop a tail light off to take a peek?
